A BIT GRAPHIC: BSOA GRAPHIC DESIGN SHOWCASE 2018
Good Wine, Good People and Good Art

On Friday night I attended and participated in the Graphic Design Showcase held in the Bermuda Society of Arts at City Hall. The show had an array of digital art, manipulated photography and corporate design. Anyone was able to enter, whether an amateur, hobbyist or professional.
As I entered, there was a sign defining the term "graphic designer" which only a designer would understand. This pretty much was an introduction to the entire show and simply explains the time and talent that goes into our work. We are wizards after all..
I decided to enter a 25 x 13 digital art piece which I had printed on metallic paper and mounted to clear acrylic. However, after seeing many poster designs, I kind of regret not entering my graphic design work. Oh well, there is always a next time..

It was a great turnout and probably the largest crowd I've ever seen while attending an art show. I was pleased that the community came out to support such talented artists that are responsible for many advertisements and displays around the island. Often, I feel like artists and designers are overlooked and taken for granted but one thing you can not deny is the talent that was present that night.
Congratulations to all the artists and designers that submitted, won prizes and sold their work! It was a great show thanks to BSOA, SJD World and Bermuda Blueprinting. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful event! The show runs until August 21st! Check it out!
Continue to Work Hard and Stay Humble!
